So I have been meaning to talk to you guys about my apprenticeship for a while now. I started the 1st of September at a company called Xstrata Nickel A/S as an apprentice as an Industrial mechanic. Some of you probably didn't know that I have studied mechanics so now you know :) I only work with men where I am stationed but they are really nice to me:) The work I am doing/learning is welding, reparation, veering, making parts and maintain machinery and stuff like that. Girls ask me all the time why I wanted to do it, how I am coping and what it is like working with only men. I thought it seemed like a fun job with a bit of a challenge. Both my father and my brother are industrial mechanics so it wasn't completely new to me. Where I grew up there were no girls my age only boys so I am quite used to being around only men/boys. And another advantage with not working with women is there is little to no nagging and ''backstabbing''. My apprenticeship will last for two years then I will be a specialized worker. I'm not going to lie to you its hard work and I get really tired so this is partly why I don't blog as much anymore.
So this was short about what I do every day. If you have any questions about it just ask:)
(sorry no pictures in this entry)
